The futuristic misadventures and tragedies of an easygoing bounty hunter and his partners. Spike Spiegel is a bounty hunter in the far future with an easy going attitude and some deadly skill at martial arts. Together with his partners, Jet Black, and later Faye Valentine as well, they go from job to job across the galaxy looking for the high priced fugitives to bag. This is nothing bad it's just a show about a group of bounty hunters who track down suspicious people and then go look for them and sometimes they might just fail at it.

Spike- is the cool character who is always perfecting himself on the ship (even though he's not), mainly he's just looking for a girl named Julia and then fails at it, but let's keep the ending hidden.

Jet- the main guy of the ship is a companion of Spike. He's usually helping him in what he's doing on his adventures at some points so there's nothing special about him.

Faye- A character who comes in later in the series who appears as an obsessive gambling diva. She meets up with Spike, there are times where she hates him and times that she loves him. It's really quite irritating, but she mostly loves him.

Ed- the most annoying (but smartest) character on the ship comes in later than Faye does. She appears as a computer-hacker boy-genius (or shall I say girl-genius)? Nobody really proves her gender, but she appears to be a young child girl who likes to join in with the bounty hunters and give advice.

Ein- nothing really to say about him. He's just a smart dog who seems to be Ed's most favorite companion. They say he knows everything but dogs don't know anything do they? O.K., so this brilliant show focuses on a group of bounty hunters and you've got to know them. Now let's put it to a vote. The show is great, it starts off slow, but in the middle, it gets funny then at the end, it gets so sad it makes you want to cry. Ed leaves and Spike dies "bang". The beginning just makes you have a feel with the show and you get to learn things about life and it might reminisce back to Lupin III and the 1970s. How good people were and their settings too. Mushroom Samba has got to be the funniest episode in the series and is a most-watched episode too, so don't miss that.

Anyways, brilliant series with great character development and mixed genres : Romance, Drama, Comedy, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Action, Adventure and anime genres.

Don't miss it. This 26 episode OVA animation is the best anime I've ever seen in my life. Everyone should order DVDs and see it. In Japan, they are opening a theatre version of it in August 2001. I can't wait to see it. I have my own copies of this anime at home and I've seen more than 30 times, it is that good! MUST SEE
